A Bar with layers of flavor.

This Bar has a Brownie crust followed by a Marshmallow layer and a crispy sweet and salty, Chocolate topping. These Bars are quite easy to make and they are full of flavor.

SUNFLOWER BARS

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Sunflower Butter
  • 1 Cup Roasted Salted Sunflower Seeds
  • 1 (12 oz.) package Semisweet Chocolate Chips)
  • 3 Cups Crispy Rice Cereal
  • 1 (10 oz.) package Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 Family size box Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix

Directions:

1. Prepare Brownie Mix according to package directions for a 13 x 9 pan. Bake as directed.

2. When Brownies are done, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the Mini Marshmallows evenly on top of the Brownies. Put the pan back in the oven and bake for an additional 3 minutes. The Marshmallows will puff up, then remove the pan from the oven and allow to cool.

3. In a large soup pot or dutch oven, melt the Chocolate Chips and Sunflower Butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.

4. Fold in the Cereal and the Sunflower Seeds into the Sunflower Butter/Chocolate mixture ensuring everything is coated.

5. Spread the mixture evenly over the Marshmallow layer using a spatula. Lightly press the mixture down with the spatula.

6. Cover and refrigerate the Bars for 2 hours. Slice into 2 x 2 Bars. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
