A creamy old fashioned Macaroni Salad recipe.

Basic Pasta Salads are often the perfect dish to serve on your buffet table. Nothing fancy about my Macaroni Salad but it is oh so good and oh so easy to prepare.

Make this dish to bring to your next potluck or family gathering. Everybody loves this dish.

OLD FASHIONED MACARONI SALAD

Ingredients:

  • 1 (14 oz.) Box Elbow Macaroni
  • 1 Cup Celery, diced
  • 1 Cup Green Pepper, diced
  • 1/2 Cup Green Onion, diced
  • 1 (4 oz.) Jar Diced Pimentos, drained
  • 3 Hard Boiled Eggs, peeled and diced
  • 2 Cups Mayo
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Mrs. Dash
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

Directions:
1. Cook Macaroni according to package directions for firm Pasta. Drain and rinse under cold water and allow to cool.

2. In a medium size bowl, whisk together the Mayo, Mrs Dash, Garlic Powder, Milk, Mustard, Pepper, and Salt.

3. In a large bowl, add the drained Macaroni, Celery, Green Onion, Green Pepper, Pimentos and Hard Boiled Eggs. Then gently fold in the Mayo mixture.

4. Cover the Macaroni Salad and refrigerate for about 2 hours prior to serving. This allows all the flavors to marry and the Macaroni Salad to chill.
