Delicious Salsa Chicken Sliders.

I like to make these Salsa Chicken Sliders for game day. Of course, they are great for other meals as well. If you have left over Chicken, this is a great dish to use it in.

These are very easy to make, yet are packed with flavor. Make a double batch if you are serving a crowd. They won’t last long!

SALSA CHICKEN SLIDERS

Ingredients:

  • 4 Cups Cooked Chicken, shredded/pulled
  • 1 (24 oz.) Jar Hot Chunky Salsa (you can also use medium or mild)
  • 1 Cup Jalapenos, diced
  • 1 Cup Green Pepper, diced
  • 3/4 Cup Yellow Onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 12 Slider Buns, sliced

Directions:

1. In a large frying pan, saute the Green Pepper, Onion and Jalapenos in 2 Teaspoons Olive Oil until tender. Transfer the Vegetables to a 4 Quart slow cooker.

2. Add the Chicken, Salsa, Chili Powder and Brown Sugar into the slow cooker with the Vegetables. Stir everything together.

3. Turn the slow cooker on low and cook for 2 & 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally. The ingredients are all cooked, the time in the slow cooker will marry the flavors and heat everything thoroughly.

4. When the Slider Filling is ready, scoop about one heaping half cup serving on each bun.
