Roasted Southwest Chili Almonds

Share

A perfect snack.

Almonds are one of the best snacks. For my recipe I used a flavored Olive Oil. I ordered this on Amazon but similar Oils can also be found at any specialty Olive Oil or Spice shop. I also used a Salt Free Seasoning Blend. Sounds silly since I am adding Salt. I like to have control over the amount of Salt used and the type of Salt in this recipe. If you like your Almonds more on the Salty side, just add a bit more in the mix or sprinkle a little extra on top when they first come out of the oven.

ROASTED SOUTHWEST CHILI ALMONDS

Ingredients:

  • 4 Cups Whole Natural Almonds
  • 2 Tablespoons Mrs. Dash Southwest Seasoning Blend
  • 2 Teaspoons Pink Himalayan Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons Roasted Chili & Orange Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

2. Line a baking sheet pan with parchment paper, set aside.

3. Place the Almonds in a medium size bowl.

4. In a small bowl or measuring cup, stir together the Oil, Chipotle Seasoning Blend and the Salt using a fork.

5. Drizzle the Oil Mixture over the Almonds. Stir everything together well, to ensure all the Almonds are coated.

6. Transfer the Almonds to the prepared pan, spreading them out evenly.

7. Roast the Almonds for 10-12 minutes stirring once, half way through the roasting time.

8. When the Almonds are done they will glisten and be lightly browned. Allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet pan. The Almonds will firm back up as they cool.

9. Store the Almonds in an airtight container with a lid.
