White Chocolate Covered Strawberry Ghosts

Make these little White Chocolate Covered Strawberry Ghosts for Halloween.

Adults can dip the Strawberries in the White Chocolate, then get the kids involved to create Ghost faces. A cute treat for the Halloween buffet table!

I live in Anoka, Minnesota, the Halloween capital of the world, so I am always trying to come up with something that is Halloween worthy.

WHITE CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRY GHOSTS

Ingredients:

  • 6 Fresh Large Strawberries
  • 1 (4 oz.) Package White Premium Baking Chocolate
  • 1 Tube Black Squeezable Cookie Icing

Directions:

1. Remove the stems from the Strawberries and set the Strawberries aside.

2. Line a small sheet pan with parchment paper then lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray. Set the Strawberries on the tray about 3 inches apart from each other, stem side down.

3. Melt the White Chocolate according to package directions.

4. Put one Strawberry at a time into the melted White Chocolate. Carefully remove the Strawberry by balancing it on a fork allowing the excess Chocolate to run back into the remaining White Chocolate. This is one case where the Chocolate dipped Strawberries should not look perfect, in fact the unusual drizzles will help to create faces on the Ghosts. Allow a little extra Chocolate to run off on the bottom of the Strawberries, to resemble torn sheets that the Ghosts are wearing.

5. Place the tray of dipped Strawberries in the freezer for 3 minutes to set the Chocolate.

6. Remove from the freezer and wait about 2 minutes before applying the squeezable Frosting just in case there is any condensation on the Chocolate from being in the freezer. After 2 minutes start creating faces on the Ghosts. Let the kids get in here and help out. Look at the details on the Chocolate and create face features as you see here.

7. When you have all the faces in place, place the tray in the refrigerator for 4 minutes to set the frosting faces. After 4 minutes remove the sheet pan from the refrigerator and use a spatula to remove the Strawberries from the parchment lined sheet pan, try to keep the excess Chocolate that is around the bottom in tact. Then place the White Chocolate Strawberry Covered Ghosts on a tray for serving.

Happy Halloween!
