Turkey Mini Meatloaves For Dogs

Try making these for your favorite pooch!

Nothing like home cooked food for your family. Since the furry kids are also part of the family, they deserve a home cooked meal every once in a while as well!

This is a simple recipe for Dogs, with no added spices.  The ingredients in this recipe are Dog friendly, but some pups have allergies just as humans do so check with your Vet to ensure the ingredients in this recipe are okay for your Doggie.

This Girl loves these Mini Meatloaves!

TURKEY MINI MEATLOAVES FOR DOGS

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pound Ground Turkey
  • 1 Cup Organic Brown Rice, cooked
  • 1 Small Apple, (about 1 cup cut into a small dice)
  • 3/4  Cup Carrots, grated small
  • 1 Cup Frozen Petite Green Peas, thawed
  • 1/2 Cup 100% Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Large Organic Egg

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Spray a muffin pan with non stick baking spray and set aside.

3. In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients. Honestly your hands are the best tools for this job!

4. This recipe makes 10 Mini Meatloaves so I form 10 balls and then lightly press them into the prepared pan as you see here. Try not to press the Meatloaf mixture all the way to the edge, then  your Mini Meatloaves will come out of the pan easily.

5. Bake the Mini Meatloaves in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Look for a nice golden color on the Meatloaves.

6. Allow the Mini Meatloaves to cool completely. Never give your Dog hot food, you don’t want them to burn their mouths.

Watch portion control, I would suggest only giving one Mini Meatloaf to a smaller size Dog and two Mini Meatloaves for a larger size Dog. You can store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. You can also put these in individual resealable freezer bags and store them for 3-4 months. If you do choose to freeze them, make sure to thaw them completely prior to feeding them to your pooch.
