Maple Bacon Cheese Ball

This Cheese Ball has layers of creamy flavor.

A Cheese Ball is perfect to serve to guests because you can make it in advance, then simply serve it with assorted crackers.

Instead of the old standard cheese tray, why not make a Cheese Ball. This Cheese Ball makes a nice presentation because it is so colorful and your guests will absolutely love it!

MAPLE BACON CHEESE BALL

Ingredients:

  • 2 (8 oz.) packages Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 Cups Marble Jack Cheese, shredded
  • 6 Slices Maple Bacon, cooked and diced
  • 2/3 Cup Green Onion, diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 & 1/2 Tablespoons Pimento, diced
  • 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup

Directions:

1. Using a hand mixer, blend together the Cream Cheese, Garlic Powder and the Maple Syrup in a large mixing bowl until smooth.

2. Stir in the Pimento, Bacon, Marble Jack Cheese and the Green Onion. Make sure everything is folded in and well combined.

3. I have a little trick for forming the Cheese Ball. I line a round bowl with plastic wrap and let the wrap hang over the edges as you see here. The bowl should be 6 inches wide by 3 inches deep.

4. Now transfer the Cheese mixture into the bowl and smooth out the top.

5. Now fold the extra plastic wrap back over the top of the Cheese Ball. this is going to create a Cheese Ball that is much easier to serve and it will have a flat bottom so it will sit better on your serving plate.

6. Put the bowl in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours prior to serving. This allows the flavors to marry and the Cheese Ball to hold its shape.

7. When you are ready to serve, simply peel back the plastic wrap on the top of the Cheese Ball then invert the bowl on your serving tray. Now remove the bowl and then the plastic wrap.

8. Now simply garnish your tray with Grapes, Crackers or even Veggie Sticks.

Store any leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
