A favorite candy in a delicious Cookie.
These Cookies are soft and have the fun flavors of DOTS Candy inside. I must admit, I love Dots so I decided to incorporate them in this delicious moist Cookie. Kids love these and they are fun to make for the Holidays. This recipe makes 3 & 1/2 Dozen Cookies so share them with your friends and family!
DOTS DROP COOKIES
Ingredients:
- 4 (6.5oz.) packages DOTS, roughly chopped
- 1 & 1/2 Cups Light Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup Sour Cream
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 2 & 3/4 Cups Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 Degrees.
2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
3. In a medium size bowl, stir together the Flour, Salt and Baking Soda with a fork then set aside.
4. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the Butter, Eggs and Vanilla using a handheld mixer. Next add the Sour Cream and the Brown Sugar into the bowl and mix until well combined.
5. Slowly start adding the Flour mixture into the Batter and continue mixing on low, scraping the bowl often.
6. Once all the Flour is combined into the Batter, stir in the Dots.
7. Drop the Cookie Batter by rounded tablespoon, 2 inches apart, onto the prepared cookie sheet. I like to use a (1.5 tablespoon) cookie scoop for this step.
8. Bake the Cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. They are done when the bottom edge is golden in color or until no indent remains in the center of the cookie when touched. These Cookies took 11 minutes in my oven.
9. When the Cookies are done, transfer them onto a cookie cooling rack to cool completely.
10. Continue baking the remaining Cookies, trading out the parchment paper if necessary.
11. Once the Cookies have cooled, store them in an air tight container with a lid to keep them soft and fresh.
