Make your own Caramel Sauce with this easy recipe.

Caramel Sauce is one of my favorite. It is fantastic on ice cream and desserts.

With this recipe, you will not need a candy thermometer or any special equipment. In fact you may already have all the ingredients on hand. If you have never made Caramel Sauce, you should try this recipe. Making a batch of this delicious Caramel Sauce only takes about 15 minutes and it tastes better than the store bought Caramel Sauces.

CARAMEL SAUCE

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/4 Cup Heavy Cream

Directions:

1. In a small saucepan add the Butter, Brown Sugar, Vanilla, and Heavy Cream. Cook over medium/low heat, whisking frequently until the mixture comes to a boil.

2. Once the mixture comes to a boil remove the pan from the heat and allow the Caramel Sauce to cool.

3. Transfer the Caramel Sauce to a glass jar with a lid for storage. If you are not going to use the Caramel Sauce right away, store it in the refrigerator, it will keep for one week. After refrigeration, you will need to bring the Caramel Sauce to room temperature or warm it up in the microwave when you are ready to serve.

This recipe makes 1 Cup/8 ounces Caramel Sauce.
