Almond Toffee Bars

Share

A moist chewy Almond Toffee Bar.

Almond and Toffee are my two favorite flavors in a dessert. With the help of a box cake mix, these are so easy to make.

Make these to serve at your next gathering. They are a real crowd pleaser and they won’t last long!

ALMOND TOFFEE BARS

Ingredients:

  • 1 (16.25 oz.) Box Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 (10 oz.) Bag Bits O’ Brickle Toffee Bits
  • 1 (14 oz.) Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2/3 Cup Chopped Almonds
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/3 Cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 Teaspoon Almond Extract

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Spray a 13 x 9 pan with nonstick baking spray and set aside.

3. In a small saucepan melt the Butter over low heat, then remove from heat. Stir in the Almond Extract and allow to cool slightly.

4. In a large bowl stir together the Cake mix, Egg, and Butter mixture with a fork. Make sure all the dry Cake Mix is incorporated as you see here.

5. Press the Cake Mix mixture evenly into the prepared pan. I use a spatula to get this layer nice and even.

6. In a medium size bowl stir together the Sweetened Condensed Milk, Toffee Bits, and the Almonds.

7. Spread the Toffee mixture evenly over the Cake Mix layer.

8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. All ovens cook differently so look for the Bars to have golden brown edges and slightly bubbly surface. The Bars were done in 27 minutes in my oven.

9. Allow the Bars to cool, then cut into 2 x 2 inch Bars. Store any leftovers in a covered container.
