How To Store Fresh Ginger

Share

Don’t let your fresh Ginger go to waste.

Fresh Ginger should keep in your refrigerator for a few weeks but if you will not be cooking with it during that time span, don’t let it go to waste.

Ginger is a fantastic accent to many dishes from Asian Cuisine to Vegetable dishes and is great in many Meat marinades. The problem is, you may only use a small piece of Fresh Ginger Root in your recipe. If you are not going to use the remainder within a week or so,  you need to store it properly so it doesn’t go bad.

Here is what you do:

Wrap the remaining Ginger in plastic wrap then place it in a resealable plastic bag. Make sure to get any air out before closing the seal. Then simply put the bag in your freezer.

Now your Fresh Ginger will last for a few months. Simply remove it from the freezer and let it thaw before using it in your recipe.
