Slicing Beef Tip

Pre-Slicing Beef Tip

Slicing Beef tip.

If your recipe calls for Beef sliced or diced, here is a tip for you.

Cut the beef when it is slightly frozen. Not rock hard frozen but try slicing it before it totally thaws.

You will find your knife goes through it easily and you can make even slices.  Your meat cooks best if all the pieces can be close to the same size. Nothing worse than having some pieces overcooked or under cooked.

Since the meat will still be a little bit frozen, you can do this ahead of time, then when you are ready to cook, your meat will be thawed and ready to go in your pan.
